Event Description:
Join the Womens Center in recognizing Domestic Violence Awareness Month at our screening of Whats Love Got to Do With It. We will host a panel discussion addressing how Tina Turner navigated the spaces she occupied throughout the film in relation to intimate partner violence, the intersections of power and the institution of capitalism. We will use an intersectional approach to address the complex nature of domestic violence.
