Talking Out Loud About Impostor Syndrome
April 2, 2018 - 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
Impostor syndrome can be defined as a collection of feelings of inadequacy that persist even in face of information that indicates that the opposite is true. It is most often associated with high-achieving, successful people.
Valerie Ashby, dean of Trinity College of Arts and Sciences at Duke University, has engaged in all aspects of the university educational experience and has received awards for excellence in teaching and research. Her talk will focus on how students can overcome challenges, real or perceived, to achieve success in their academic and professional careers.
This event is sponsored by the College of Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine and Initiative for Maximizing Student Diversity.
