Kwanzaa Celebration

Event Description:
Please join us for the annual NC State Kwanzaa Celebration. The word Kwanzaa comes from matunda ya kwanza, which means first fruits in Swahili. We will light one of the seven candles on the Kinara (candleholder) and recite the Nguzo Saba (“seven principles” in Swahili), values of African culture which contribute to building and reinforcing community among African Americans.

Admission Information:
Free and open to the public.
